The last Friday home game of the Charleston RiverDogs 2011 season was busting at the beams! There were lines at the box office and families enjoying the dog days of summer.
We were out there with a bike raffle including prizes from New Belgium and Affordabike. The winner was announced at the top of the 7th inning. Soon after, we had people stop by the tent to see if their numbers got pulled. Buckey and Donna Walters came by casually to see what number was pulled and it was theirs! Buckey got (5) tickets and was prompted by his wife Donna because she wanted a New Belgium key chain. We are thrilled to know that the 20th Anniversary New Belgium Cruiser has found a lovely home.
We raised $506 for the Mitchell Hollon Memorial Bicycle Safety Fund that is being managed by Charleston Moves. We are open to suggestions (in the comments below) for Bike Night improvements. To see more pictures from Sept 2, 2011, see our Flickr.
Thank you all for supporting bike safety and advocacy in Charleston!
